Germany go into their final match in Group H of the Women's World Cup yet to clinch qualification. They take on bottom of the table South Korea who have lost both of their two group matches. Germany start the game on three points from two games and are in second place. The group leaders are Colombia who have won both their games with Morocco third on three points. Germany started this group with a 6-0 win over Morocco and that goal difference could be vital for them. They then surprisingly lost 2-1 to Colombia with the South Americans getting the winner in the 97th minute. That doomed them to their third loss in five games with the only wins coming against Vietnam and the group victory over Moroccoa. On the plus side, Alexandra Popp has scored three goals in Germany's two group matches. Their top striker will hope to add more to her tally against South Korea. The Germans have never failed to reach the last eight of a Women's World Cup. Although looking too inconsistent to win the title, they should have too much for South Korea. A win will take them into the last 16 but they will need a victory if Morocco were to defeat Colombia.

South Korea are in deep trouble in this group. Not only have they not got a point to their name, they haven't scored a goal either. They began their campaign with a 2-0 defeat by Colombia with both goals conceded in the first half. That was followed by a disappointing 1-0 loss to Morocco, again trailing at both half and full time. They have to win this game to have any hope of qualification but with a goal difference of -3 compared to Germany's +5, they need to get their scoring boots on.
