Slovenia will host Denmark in one of the groups shaping up as the tightest in the 2024 Euro qualifiers. Both sides are on six points in Group H, Denmark top and Slovenia fourth. Slovenia’s perfect start to the qualifiers was checked in the last game as they lost 2-0 to Finland. Their first defeat in nine matches denied them the chance to go top of this group. It was also the first time in five matches that they failed to score. Slovenia however, have just three clean sheets in the last 10 matches. These two nations have met four times before; this is however the first meeting since 2008. This is also the first competitive meeting between them since 1997. In the four earlier meetings, Slovenia have suffered straight losses.

Denmark come into this game having recovered from the shock loss to Kazakhstan on Match Day 2. They beat Northern Ireland at home for their second win in this group, registering their first clean sheet in five games. Jonas Wind scored the only goal in that 1-0 win. Three of their last five matches ended in over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in three. The Danes have failed to score in just one of the last five matches. It is their away form that will be under a lot of scrutiny here, with the team struggling on the road. In the last four away matches, Denmark have suffered straight losses. In their most recent, they led 2-0 against Kazakhstan but dropped their guard in the second half, to lose 3-2.
