Slovakia vs Malta Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup

Slovakia conceded a late goal against Scotland on Thursday to lose their second qualifier in a row and drop out of the top two. A win over Malta shouldn't be too difficult but they will be keeping their eye on events in Slovenia because a win for Scotland will eliminate Slovakia. The home side in this game began their campaign with a last minute loss to England but since then have won all three matches scoring eight goals without conceding but it's their three away losses that have put them in serious danger of failing to reach the play-offs. Malta are bottom of the group but at least they are consistent on their travels losing all four away games 2-0. They managed to get a 1-1 draw at home to Lithuania on Thursday and that's their solitary point in this group. Away from home in the World Cup they have  lost their last five games without scoring and have just one win in the last 30 away World Cup qualifiers. Slovakia have won six and drawn one of their seven previous meetings with Malta winning the last four. They can get another home win on a -2 handicap but it will be out of their hands whether that is enough to finish in the top two.
