Sivasspor vs Istanbul Basaksehir Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

One of the more interesting title races that can be found in Europe sees a top-of-the-table clash take place in Sivas this weekend. League leaders Sivasspor play host to their closest challengers, Istanbul Basaksehir, a team two points behind them. Only three points separate the next four teams in the table, traditional giants like Galatasaray and Fenerbahce among that group. The most interesting aspect of this contest is that it pits two teams seeking their first Super Lig title against one another. Impressive for so much of the campaign, Sivasspor suffered a shocking defeat last weekend when they went down 5-1 at Gaziantep. It was by far their heaviest defeat of the campaign and extended a winless run to three games. While Sivasspor were the better team for much of the match - they bossed possession and created almost twice as many openings - their finishing was poor, the sign of a team low on confidence. Wobbles in form happen. Unless you're Liverpool, they're inevitable. Now Sivasspor must find a way to recover.
Basaksehir, meanwhile, will hope to capitalise on the shakiness of their title rivals. Their own form has been patchy with only two wins from their last five games in all competitions. With the teams at the top being so close, a loss could see fall as low as sixth. A victory could take them top. Beating Sivasspor has been difficult in recent seasons. They have failed to win any of their last six meetings and take on a Sivasspor that, while recovering from a heavy loss, has the best home record in the division. Unbeaten at Sivas Stadium in the league, Sivasspor have scored in every game this season and may view this as ideal bouncing-back territory. We certainly think that they can recover with a victory over their close rivals.
