Sheriff Tiraspol host Partizan in the first leg of this Europa Conference League (ECL) Knockout Play-off round. The Moldovan side will hope for a good lead to take to the second leg but haven't been showing the heroics they did in last season's Champions League. They lost in the qualifying rounds this term and could then only finish third in their Europa League group. They had a very tough draw and ended the group nine points behind Real Sociedad and Manchester United. Their only points came from two wins over Omonia Nicosia. Only one goal was scored in their three home games in that group. Three out of four home games in European competition this season have ended in defeat. Another problem for them is that they haven't played a competitive fixture since November. They finished top of their domestic league and are now waiting to start the Championship group next month.

Partizan are second in the Serbian Super League, 11 points behind leaders Red Star Belgrade. They have only just resumed their league season and not made a good start. Partizan lost 4-0 at home to Miadost Novi Sad last Saturday and their opponents are one from bottom in the table. In European competition this season, Partizan lost to AEK Larnaca in the Europa League qualifiers. They then finished second behind Nice in their ECL group and a point above FC Koln. Only one of their three away games were won. Only one of their last five away games in this competition has ended in victory. A double chance bet on a home win or draw is the suggested wager.
