This year's Premier League surprise package, Newcastle United, will be in FA Cup action this Saturday when they travel to face off with Sheffield Wednesday in the third round of the FA Cup at Hillsborough. Eddie Howe's side is currently in third place in England's top league, ahead of the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, and Man united. They boast the league's best defensive record this term and are unbeaten in 12 matches ahead of this encounter. Their most recent match was against league leaders Arsenal, where they put on another solid display and took away a point in a goalless draw. Their performance this season has kept them in touch with the top two sides, and they are by no means ruled out of the title race. The FA cup comes at a good time for Newcastle. With the Premier League fixtures starting to pile up, Eddie Howe will relish the opportunity to rest a few of his star men, and it will also give him an opportunity to give some minutes to players returning from injury, most notably Allan Saint-Maximin who is yet to start a match since the World Cup break.
