Sheffield Wednesday vs Millwall Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
Sheffeld Wednesday are yet to win in the Championship this season and are down in 21st place which is one position above the relegation zone. It's not been an easy time for them for the past few months thanks to a transfer embargo being placed on them. Their season began with a 3-2 defeat at newly promoted Wigan Athletic and the next game is the only one in which they have managed to avoid defeat in as Wednesday drew 1-1 at home with Hull City (currently 22nd in the table). and they had to come from behind to grab a draw. They did get a win over Sunderland in the Carabao Cup but followed that up with a 2-0 defeat at Brentford on Sunday. They only have one defeat in their last six home league games but the last 16 have only produced four victories.
Their opponents are 10th in the table with five points from three league games. They had a strong second-half of last season and nearly made it into the play-offs. The last 23 league games they have played have seen them only lose twice - one to Fulham who went on to get promoted and the other to Middlesbrough who are currently top of the table. MIilwall have five points from their three league games this season beginning with a home 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough (the only league game Boro haven't won this season) in which they led 2-0 before conceding goals in the 87th and 97th minutes. They followed that up with a goalless draw with Millwall followed by a similar scoreline in the Carabao Cup against Gillingham in the Carabao Cup before winning on penalties. They started scoring again at the weekend with a first league win of the season beating Derby County 2-1. The last 11 away league games have seen them lose just once and they can get a valuable win at Hillsbrough.

Our Sheffield Wednesday vs Millwall Prediction
Millwall have made a steady start to the Championship with five points from three games and it'd have been seven but for that late collapse against Middlesbrough. Sheffield Wednesday aren't doing at all well with just one point from three games and it could be a long struggle for the Yorkshire team. Go for Millwall to get an away win in this game.
