Sheffield Wednesday start the weekend in sixth place, the final play-off spot. They lead Cardiff and Ipswich by a point so can't afford any slip-ups here against Charlton. Current form isn't great though with just six points from their last six league games. Last week was impressive though with a 3-0 win at Notts Forest that got their boss the sack. Their defence is strong with two straight clean sheets and three in the last four. Home form has seen just one win in the last four league games. They have only lost two league games at home though, the defeat by Rotherham in their last home match was the first since Middlesbrough won at Sheffield Wednesday in August. Charlton have plenty of problems at the moment with fans demonstrating against the club's owners. They are one from bottom in the table and five points from safety. Despite the demonstrations, Charlton won at home against third placed Middlesbrough last Sunday. They have seven points from their last three games with just one goal conceded so they really are battling against relegation. Charlton did win at Brentford recently but their away form is poor with nine points all season, 12 defeats and 39 goals conceded. An interesting game looks likely here and I think Sheffield Wednesday can get a narrow home win.
