Bottom of the table Sheffield United host West Ham United on Sunday afternoon with the odds very much against the Blades. Returning manager Chris Wilder has seen his team pick up four points from their last five games, but they remain firmly at the foot of the table having scored the fewest (15), and conceded the most (49) goals in the division this season. Both United's wins this season have come at home and they have picked up eight of their nine points at Bramall Lane. However, they have lost 75% of their home games this season in the Premier League although goals at Bramall Lane have not been a problem. 60% of games played at Sheffield United's home this season have seen more than 2.5 goals scored. 

In sharp contrast to their hosts, West Ham have enjoyed a fantastic season under David Moyes. The Hammers lie in 6th place in the Premier League table, six points behind Spurs and Arsenal (but with a game in hand on the former). The Hammers have had some inconsistent performances away from home, suffering heavy defeats at Liverpool (3-1), Aston Villa (4-1) and Fulham (5-0), but they picked up hugely creditable wins away to Arsenal (2- 0), Tottenham (2-1) and Brighton (3-1). Interestingly, they have also won both their previous two games against the newly promoted teams to the Premier League (Luton Town and Burnley) by a 2-1 scoreline. Hammers fans will feel this is an excellent opportunity to close the gap on the top five by picking up three points here.
