Sheffield United will host Chelsea in a clash of two sides placed at opposite ends in the league standings. Chelsea have 36 points, and in sixth place while Sheffield are bottom with 11 points. Sheffield have been in good form lately and here they have a chance to finally leave bottom place. They have found the winning formula after struggling badly in the first leg. In their last four matches, they have three wins and another win here might see them rise to 19th. Sheffield have five wins in their last seven matches, and only need to improve in defence, having failed to keep a clean sheet in the last five. They rose from a goal down to shock West Brom 2-1 in their last game. With that result, four of their last five matches have now produced over 2.5 goals.

Chelsea have also seen a rise in form, thanks to new coach Thomas Tuchel, who recently replaced club legend Frank Lampard. The Blues have not lost in the three matches the German has been in charge and neither have they conceded a goal. Tuchel has given German defender Antonio Rudiger a new lease of life, overlooking Kurt Zouma, who was a favorite during Lampard’s time. Rudiger’s return has coincided with the team keeping straight clean sheets. However, the coach may be forced to look Zouma’s way, with Thiago Silva getting injured in the win over Tottenham Hotspur. Andreas Christensen replaced the Brazilian defender against Spurs with Zouma not named in the match day squad. After winning his first away match as Chelsea boss, Tuchel will be keen to improve the team’s away run, the Blues having lost four of their last six on the road.
