Saturday’s lunchtime kickoff in the Premier League will see Sheffield United take on Everton at Bramall Lane. Both sides are still in search of their first points of the season. The hosts come into this crucial encounter off the back of a second-round Carabao Cup defeat to Lincoln City. However, in that match, they did make as many as nine changes to the team that came very close to taking a point off Manchester City last weekend. Still, they have lost each of their first four matches in all competitions and conceded five goals in that time. The Blades should be back to their regular starting lineup here. If they can deliver a similar performance to the one they managed against Man City, they will be in with a big shout of winning this match. 

Meanwhile, Everton were on the verge of exiting the Carabao Cup but managed a late comeback to beat Doncaster 2-1 in midweek. And it was a much-needed win. The Toffees are at the foot of the Premier League, with three losses in three matches. In addition, they have not scored a goal in the Premier League this season but have let in six. The visitors only away match this season ended in a 4-0 defeat at Villa Park. Looking further back, though, they have only won one of their last 16 matches on the road, dating back to October 2022. Sean Dyche will know that this is the type of match that his side must win; however, they did lose the last meeting between the sides back in 2021.
