Sheffield United have been written off a couple of times this season but they keep bouncing back. Wednesday's win over Wolves took them to seventh and now they host Chelsea who are third in the Premier League. United didn't make a good re-start earning just a single point from their first three league games and being kocked out of the FA Cup. It looked as if they might even slip out of the top ten but have since won seven points from their last three matches, including home wins over Tottenham and Wolves. The win on Wednesday took them to seventh place and that could well be enough to take them into the Europa League. They are only a point behind sixth-placed Wolves and four behind Manchester United in fifth, though the Reds play on Thursday at Aston Villa. Sheffield United haven't always been at their best at home this season and lost three of their first four home fixtures.. They have only been beaten by Manchester City in their last nine home league games, so this will be a tough game for Chelsea.

Chelsea moved up to third after their 3-2 win at Crystal Palace on Tuesday. That was their second league win in a row and Frank Lampard’s team has now won seven of their last eight games in all competitions. Keeping clean sheets in away Premier League games is still a major problem for them. The last eight played have all seen their opponents get on the scoresheet. Only at Tottenham this season, have they stopped the home side scoring. The plus though is that Chelsea have scored 36 away league goals this season, that’s more than their opponents have managed home and away in the Premier League this season. Chelsea have scored at least twice in each of their last five away league matches. The reverse fixture saw the game at Stamford Bridge end 2-2, with United coming back from a 2-0 deficit. A bet on both teams to score looks a good one to make here.
