Sheffield United will welcome Bournemouth on Saturday for round 13 of the English Premier League. Four points separate the two sides coming into this match with 16th-placed Bournemouth having the advantage over Sheffield in 18th. Sheffield United are in the best form they have been in since returning back to the top flight. Paul Heckingbottom’s men have gone two games without defeat for the first time this season and have earned four points. This has moved them to within a point of safety and they will be eager to keep this momentum going. The Blades earned their first win of the season at the start of the month by beating Wolves 2-1. This ended a six-match losing run and they would follow this up with a 1-1 draw with Brighton before the international break.

Bournemouth have fared a bit better than Sheffield as they have won twice and sit four points clear of the relegation zone. This could easily change though with defeat here and they will be eager not to let their advantage slip. Andoni Iraola’s men got back to winning ways last time out after back-to-back defeats and subdued Newcastle 2-0 at home. That win was the perfect response to letting in six against Manchester City a week prior. The Cherries have never won away to Sheffield since the pairs’ League One days. They however did pick up a point the last time they were at Bramall Lane which was two seasons ago in the Championship. Sheffield and Bournemouth have the two worst defences so far in the league and have conceded a combined 58 goals.
