Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers will take a breather from the demands of the Championship and focus on the FA Cup quarter finals where they are set to face off at Sheffield’s Bramall Lane. Sheffield United are having an amazing season as aside from making the last eight in the FA Cup, they are also in pole position to seal automatic promotion back to the Premier League. They sit second in the Championship with nine matches left to conclude the season. They have however stuttered in recent weeks, with two losses and two wins from their last four matches. They beat Sunderland 2-1 away from home last weekend in the league, which was the first time they scored more than one goal a game in their last six matches. Having beaten Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur to reach this round, Paul Heckingbottom’s charges will fancy their chances of progressing despite losing to Blackburn in the league earlier in the month.

Blackburn Rovers come into this match in terrific form, Jon Dahl Tomasson’s charges have won six of their last seven matches with one of the victories being a 1-0 win over their opponents in the league, which helped keep them in the promotion play-off places. Just like their opponents, Blackburn did beat a Premier League side (Leicester City) to advance to this round and already with a win over The Blades recently, they will believe in their chances to make the last four even more.
