Shakhtar began this season in the Champions League but ended up in the same group as Real Madrid and PSG. Not surprisingly they only ended up in third position finishing ahead of Malmo. That took them back into the Europa League and they are undefeated in the knock-out stages having already beaten Schalke and Anderlecht. Their chances of making it into the last four look good after a 2-1 win in Portugal last Thursday. It could have been even better as they led 2-0 until Braga pulled back a goal in the 89th minute to give them some chance of making the semi-finals. Shakhtar have drawn with Schalke and beaten Anderlecht at home in the Europa League this season and will be confident there won't be any major mishaps here. Braga have been struggling for form in the Portuguese league in the past few weeks but should have few problems clinching their Europa League place for next season. Away form is nowhere near as good as their home form and they will struggle to get back into this tie. They've lost their last two away games in the league and have lost a couple on the road in the Europa League this season. I go for Shakhtar to get the home win here.
