Sevilla are in danger of missing out on European competiton next season. They have slipped to eighth in the table and are currently a place and a point adrift of the final Europa League qualification place. That'd be a bitter pill to swallow after reaching the Champions League quarter finals this season. However, their win at the weekend over Real Sociedad ended a run of nine league and cup games since winning at Manchester United in March. They may be eighth in the table but Sevilla have a goal difference of -11 with 54 goals conceded, which is only two less than bottom of the table Malaga have let in during their La Liga campaign. Sevilla have gone four home league games without a win but did get draws with both Barcelona and Villarreal.

They take on a Real Madrid side that still have a chance of finishing second in the table but will have their minds on the upcoming Champions League final. They will be without the injured Cristiano Ronaldo but a win here will take them levl on points with Atletico Madrid and clinch third place over Valencia. They have only lost two away league games this season with just a loss at Espanyol in their last 12 and Saturday saw them get a 2-2 draw at Barcelona. They are in better form than their opponents and even without Ronaldo can get the three points here
