Sevilla take on Krasnodar at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán for a Group E clash in the Champions League. The Spanish side are second in the group after picking up four points from their opening two matches. Kicking off the European campaign with a goalless draw away to Chelsea, they followed up this excursion with a 1-0 victory at home to Rennes. The scoreline of their win over the French outfit does not reflect the dominance of the reigning Europa League holders, who peppered the goal with 23 shots. Krasnodar are bottom of the group coming into this game. The Russian side opened their UCL account with a point away to Rennes but followed up this 1-1 draw by conceding four goals in a heavy loss against Chelsea. However, the opening goal for the Blues came late in the first half courtesy of a goalkeeping howler and the big win disguises an otherwise abject performance. This is no consolation to Krasnodar, knowing that a team having an off-day can still inflict a hammering upon them. This won't be the first meeting between Sevilla and Krasnodar as the teams previously faced off in the Europa League in 2018. Krasnodar won the home tie 2-1 before losing 3-0 in Spain. Krasnodar have lost all of their five games in Spain.

On a rotten run of form domestically - where they are winless in four league games - European competition is a refuge for Sevilla. They have kept clean sheets in their last three UCL matches and we foresee another such win happening on Wednesday.
