Sevilla have been in great form lately and will be looking to extend the same to Europe when they host Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 as the Champions League resumes. The Spaniards’ 1-0 win over Huesca in their last match marked not just their seventh straight clean sheet but their ninth straight win. They’ve lost just once in the last 19 matches and in the last nine matches, they’ve conceded just one goal. Sevilla have not lacked in goals, having scored nine in their last five matches, which has pushed tallies in four of the five matches to over 2.5 goals. As focus shifts to the Champions League, Sevilla hopes to improve on defence as they have no clean sheet there in four matches. However, they have just one loss in seven Champions League matches. Each of their last four matches in the competition has produced over 2.5 goals. In their last Champions League match at home, Sevilla suffered a 4-0 loss to Chelsea and will be keen to avoid a repeat.

It was the second winless game for the German side and they have now conceded in each of their last eight matches. The Germans have a range of top quality players but have failed to find a good balance in defence. Heading here, they’ve conceded at least two goals in five of the last six matches. A sharp attack has saved the team severally, and in the last five matches alone, they’ve scored 11 goals. Their last six matches have produced over 2.5 goals and two forwards, Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho have scored a combined seven goals in the last five matches. Three straight away losses isn’t the best run to carry to this game. However, Dortmund will seek inspiration from their five match-unbeaten run in Champions League. They have scored in seven of their last eight Champions League matches, in four of the last five they got two goals or more.
