Sevilla begin the weekend in sixth place in La Liga but are only two points clear of Girona in seventh so they are in danger of losing their Europa League qualification place, particularly as Girona host relegation threatened Levante this weekend. Getting points out of Barcelona isn't going to be an easy task at all for Sevilla with the visitors still unbeaten in La Liga this season. The game comes a few days before the home side take on Bayern Munich in the quarter finals of the Champions League having beaten Manchester United in the previous round.  They will need to improve their form though having lost their last two league games. Home form is a worry too with just one win in their last four league and cup games and two of their last three home league games have ended in defeat.

Barcelona look certain to win La Liga this season and have an 11 point lead going into this weekend. They are still unbeaten in the league this season and away form, which has sometimes caused problems in the past, sees them winning 11 games, drawing four and conceding just seven goals while scoring 34.  Their defence is so strong at present wth five clean sheets in a row in all competitions.  The last six league games have produced five wins and a draw and they are on a 36 game unbeaten run last losing a league match on April 8 last year. Away form in La Liga has seen them win six of their last eight as they move menacingly on towards the league title. Go for them to get another three points here.
