These two teams have seen a reversal of roles this season with Barcelona so often chasing the La Liga title and Sevilla battling for a European position. Barcelona are currently out of the European qualifying positions but are now just two points below sixth place Real Sociedad who occupy the final Europa position. They have a very poor away record this season winning only once in their seven away matches. They have lost two and drawn four of the other away matches. Barcelona win against Elche was their first win in five matches across all competitions.
