Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid Prediction & Betting Tips - Copa del Rey

Sevilla had a 4-1 aggregate win over Cadiz in the last round of the Copa del Rey tournament and have a 2-1 lead from the first leg of this tie. They went 1-0 down in the second half but late goals from Jesus Navas and Correa gave them an important lead and they know all they have to do is avoid defeat at home to progress to the next round. Sevilla are sixth in the table but are on a poor run at present having lost three of their last four La Liga matches. They ended a run of three successive league defeats with a 3-0 win at 14th placed Espanyol at the weekend but before that had been beaten by three teams, all in the bottom half of the table. That included a 5-3 home loss to Betis That’s their only home loss in La Liga this season but before that they were held to a draw by relegation threatened Levante. Winning this trophy is their only hope of domestic honours this season but they face a tough game here. Atletico struggled in the early part of the season and failed to make it out of their Champions League group. They are now second in La Liga and had only lost one in 22 league and cup games before the first leg loss to Sevilla. Away form for Atletico is strong with just the one defeat in 17 away league and cup games so far this season, a recent loss at Espanyol. They often keep it tight on the road with seven clean sheets in their last 12 away games in all competitions. That’s unlikely in this game as they will have to come out in an attacking mode to get back into this tie. A bet on over 2.5 goals in the game looks a good one.
