Serbia vs Brazil Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup

It looked as if Brazil were going to have to be satisfied with a draw against Costa Rica but two goals in the 91st and 97th miinutes saved their blushes and the 2-0 win took them to the top of Group E. There is still work to do though not just to win the group but avoid being knocked out with any of the top three sides still able to finish top. Actually winning the group might not be the best of news if Germany finish second in  Group F and it's still possible we could see Brazil v Germany in the last sixteen. Brazil have blown hot and cold so far and will have been pleased to see Serbia give away their lead against Switzerland on Friday night. The Brazilians are unbeaten in their last 13 games with their last loss being just over a year ago to Argentina. The two sides have only met once before with Brazil winning a 2014 friendly 1-0. A win for Brazil will send them into the last sixteen though it couuld go down to goal difference whether they finish first or second. A draw definitely gets them through but a loss to Serbia would have their nerves jangling and hoping Costa Rica's defence can hold out as it so nearly did on Friday and they avoid being knocked out in the group stages for the first time since 1966.

Serbia looked on course for the last sixteen when leading Switzerland 1-0 but two second half Swiss goals changed all that. Now they go into this game knowing a win will take them into the knock-out stages, a draw will see them hoping Costa Rica getting a good win over the Swiss and a defeat means they are on their way home. They looked very impressive in the first half against Switzerland but it just all went wrong for them in the second half. They have lost three of their last six games and will find it hard to avoid defeat here. Go for Brazil to get the victory and confirm their place in the last sixteen.
