Senegal vs Tunisia Prediction & Betting Tips - AFCON

The two highest ranked countries in Africa meet but in the semi-finals not the final. Senegal are ranked 22nd in the world and that's three places higher than their opponents. They were on a long unbeaten run coming into this tournament with no defeats since their 2018 World Cup exit in the group stages. Senegal drew with Madagascar last September but then won six games in a row, conceding just once. Arriving in Egypt, they opened their group with a 2-0 win over Tanzania. Their unbeaten run came to an end with a 1-0 defeat by Algeria (who they could meet in the final). Any worries they might not qualify for the last sixteen soon came to an end as they beat Kenya 3-0 with two goals from Liverpool's Sadio Mane. They finished second in the group and then defeated Uganda 1-0 with Mane again on the scoresheet (though he did also miss a penalty). In the last eight Senegal defeated Benin 1-0 with a goal 20 minutes from time.

Tunisia went through the group stages unbeaten but also without a win as they drew all three of their matches.  They are unbeaten in their last eight internationals and four of the last five have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. The group stages saw Tunisia draw 1-1 with Angola after taking a first-half lead. Their next two games against Mali and Mauritania both ended level but their three points were enough to see them finish second in the group. In the last sixteen, Tunisia defeated Ghana on penalties after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes. That took them into a quarter final where they beat shock quarter finalists Madagascar 3-0, all of their goals coming in the second half. There's not much to choose between these two teams, a bet on under 2.5 goals can be a winner.
