Senegal vs Liberia Prediction & Betting Tips - CHAN
by Daniel Ngulu in Football Predictions
Senegal have one foot in the second round of the African Nations Championship qualifiers after a 3-0 win over Liberia in the first leg of this tie. The two nations face off in Senegal in the return leg with the hosts keen on finishing the job. This competition is a preserve for players plying their trade in local leagues in their countries. Senegal have an edge in that respect, having featured only local players in the last two editions of the COSAFA Cup, which they played as a guest team and finished third. In their last four matches, all which featured home based players, they’ve managed one outright win, but scored in all. They’ve only lost once in that run.
Liberia come into this game with a very poor run, not just the first leg loss. A majority of players in the national team are home-based, and we will have the same faces here. They have five straight losses ahead of this game and while they’ve been conceding heavily in recent games, they’ve not been scoring a lot. In their last five matches, Liberia have managed just one goal while they’ve conceded 12 goals. Four times in their last five matches, they’ve let in two or more goals, the most recent being their 3-0 loss at home to Senegal. In 15 away matches across all competitions, Liberia have managed just two wins. They’ve lost 12 of the 15 matches away from home.

Our Senegal vs Liberia Prediction
Senegal have the better run going into this game and the fact that their home based players have been playing together for a while now, gives them the needed chemistry. Liberia haven’t really done well in their recent matches, struggling to score as well as to defence. Back Senegal to lead in both halves.
