Senegal will put their unbeaten record at the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on the line when they face Burundi in the final round of matches on Tuesday. The Lions of Teranga lead Group L while the Swallows are in third place. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Senegal took the outright lead in the group last week when they beat Burkina Faso on the road 1-0 thanks to a Mouhamadou Diarra goal in the 83rd minute of the match. 

That result took the Lions of Teranga to four wins in a row - a period during which they kept consecutive clean sheets. The only goal they’ve conceded was against this opponent in the reverse fixture. 

The hosts are unbeaten in their last eight home games, six of which ended in victory and with clean sheets intact. 

Meanwhile, with six points separating them from second-placed Burkina Faso, Burundi's journey to the 2025 AFCON will come to an end at the full-time whistle of this match. 

The Swallows began the competition well, beating Malawi 3-2 in their opening match, but that was followed by three losses before last week’s draw. They also failed to score in three of those four winless matches.

The visitors have only lost one of their last four away games in all competitions, which is a notable improvement after going winless in their preceding seven.
