The Seattle Sounders host Dallas at the Lumen Field, in what should be a captivating matchup for the Western Conference’s play off places. The home side are not experiencing their best of days in the MLS this season. Their recent loss against leader LAFC was their fourth in the last five games, only managing to beat the Colorado Rapids during that run. Their achilles heel this season seems to be their away form, with Seattle losing three of their last four outings, failing to score in two of those. It is a different story on home soil however, where they have taken nineteen points in their eleven league fixtures, making them the fifth best home team in the division. Seattle should also be encouraged from their recent positive record against Dallas at the Lumen Field, where they have lost just once in their last seventeen games. 

Dallas are currently in fourth place and look like they have started to recover from their mid season slump. They have won both of their last games with 1-0, after being winless for seven games on the spin. They have also shown great improvement in the defensive third, managing to concede just once in their last three games, a much improved figure from the nine goals in the five games before those. Their form away from home is mixed, with the Texas outfit managing to gather fourteen points from their eleven league outings and winning once in their last four away. Nico Estevez’ team have conceded at least twice in six of their last nine on the road, while they boast a really poor tradition at the Lumen Field, winning just once there in their last seventeen visits.
