The Seattle Sounders host Cincinnati at the Lumen Field, in what should be a crunch MLS fixture. The Seattle outfit are tenth in the standings yet just four points away from LA Galaxy, who occupy the last play-off spot of the Western Conference. Their recent patch of form should be worrying however, in light of their upcoming encounter. Specifically, Seattle have won just two of their last eight games, keeping just two clean sheets in their last fourteen. On the upside, the Lumen Field has provided some solace for them of late. They have won four of their last five games on home soil, and have been defeated just three times in their last twelve there. Seattle have also won their only game against Cincinnati, beating them 4-1 at home back in 2019. 

Cincinnati are in a better spot, sat in sixth place of the Eastern Conference and just five points from third-placed New York Red Bulls. They have been phenomenal despite their inexperience in the top tier, and much of this can be owed to their front-foot, attacking style, which has seen them score 56 times in their thirty-one league games. They have also been on an impressive unbeaten streak, not having lost in their last eleven encounters, and just once in their last eighteen. They could be regarded as the champions of draws, having shared the spoils eleven times during the said run. The visitors are also the fifth best away team in the conference based on points accrued, and have only lost once in their last seven on the road.
