England top this group by five points and should be able to win it. Both Scotland and Slovakia will be quite keen on the English side winning at home to Slovenia as that would increase their qualification chances. Slovakia start this game in second place, a point ahead of both Slovenia and Scotland and with a slightly better goal difference. A win in Scotland ends the hopes of the home side and would see them in the play-offs unless Slovenia get at least a point at Wembley. Slovakia end their group with a home game against luckless Malta which is virtually three points guaranteed so they will be keen to avoid defeat in Scotland. They are in a much better position in this group than when they lost their opening two qualifiers. Since then they have won four straight games before a 2-1 loss in England. Away form isn't spectacular for Slovakia with two wins and two defeats in this group. There's only three defeats in their last 13 away World Cup qualifiers and they are more than capable of getting at least a point here. Scotland have won two and drawn two of their four home games in this group but it could so easily have been three wins but for a late England equalizer. They fight to the end though with three of their home goals scored after the 87th minute. Scotland are unbeaten in their last five internationals and only lost two of their last nine home World Cup qualifiers. This should be a tight game but with Slovakia can come away with a win or a draw.
