Scotland, playing at home, suffered a 1 – 2 loss to Russia in their fifth match of the qualifiers in Group I making their chances of heading to the Euro 2020 Championships even slimmer and to be able to revive them, they will have to beat a very impressive Belgium side, who walk to this match on the back of a 4 – 0 win over San Marino, five straight wins in the qualifiers and four straight clean sheets, while Scotland have picked just one clean sheet in their five qualification matches. Belgium are on maximum points in the group and have scored three goals or more in four of their five matches. They have scored 15 goals and conceded just one. Scotland on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have the defence to handle Belgium, as they have conceded nine in the five group matches, while only keeping one clean sheet. Scotland have scored in three of the five matches but will be underdogs against this Belgium side that has lost just two of the last 11 away matches in the European Championships qualifiers. Belgium thrashed Scotland 3 – 0 in the first meeting of the qualifiers, and have not lost to Scotland in six straight meetings, winning each of the last five, scoring two or more goals and each ending in clean sheets for the Belgians.
