Galatasaray will head to Germany after a rather lean run back at home and will be hoping to get back to winning ways as they come from an ill-tempered match that saw three red cards flushed out in the clash against Fenerbahce. Gala have not won any ofv their last four matches across all competitions and being third in the group, they will know just how crucial it is that they win here. Back at home, they trail Istanbul Basaksehir by four points and with just a win in six matches, it will badly change their season if they lose here. Schalke too are in more or less the same situation as Gala when considering Champions League. Domestically they are worse off, even though they made a big step with their Saturday win over Hannover 96, which propelled them to 13th on the Bundesliga standings with 10 points from 10 matches. Two of Schalke’s three wins in the Bundesliga campaign have come at home and they will be happy to face Gala at home, especially after their weekend win at home and the fact that Gala have picked four losses in the last five away games and their run in the Champions League away from home has also not been great, with the side picking just two draws in the last 12 away matches in the competition. Gala have also not managed a clean sheet in 24 away matches in the Champions League but the same applies to Schalke at home in the last six.
