Schalke go into this final Bundisliga game of the season alreay confirmed to finish second in the table but are a massive 24 points behind champions Bayern Munich. Their league position gets them into the group stages for next seasons Champions League soa successful season for them. They won at Augsburg last weekend but before that had gone three games without a win including a 1-0 home defeat by Frankfurt in the German Cup. Home form this season  has seen them lose just twice but ten of their games including the last four in the league have had under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Their opponents start this game in seventh place which is one below that needed to qualify for the Europa League. They are a point behind sixth placed Leipzig who have an away game at Hertha Berlin. A draw here and defeat for Leipzig would take them into the Europa League  If somehow they could win around 10--0 and other sides above them lost, they could even sneak into the Champions League places but that's mission impossible. Frankfurt beat relegation threatened Hamburg last weekend but before that had just one win in their last six and that was the cup win at Schalke. Away form has been a major disappointment this season. It was ok in the first half but they have lost the last six conceding 17 goals. Go for Schalke to end the season with a home win.
