SC Dnipro-1 vs Slavia Prague Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League

Dnipro-1 will be hoping for a huge comeback in the second leg of the Europa League third qualifying round when they play host to Slavia Prague on Thursday evening. The winner of this tie will face Zorya Luhansk in the playoffs. Slavia Prague currently leads 3-0 with goals from Ivan Schranz (2) and Conrad Wallem (1) in the first leg. The visitors were the better side by some distance in the first leg and came out with a three-goal advantage despite being reduced to ten men before the hour mark. They come into this match following a 1-0 win over Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Liga, which extended their recent record to five consecutive wins this season. Looking further back, they are unbeaten in their last 13 matches in all competitions dating back to mid-May. The visitors are currently second in their domestic league, level on points with Sparta Prague at the top, but with a worse goal difference. With a three-goal cushion, they are the clear favourites to qualify for the next round. 

Meanwhile, Dnipro-1 were involved in Champions League qualification a couple of weeks ago. They were drawn against Panathinaikos but were beaten 5-3 on aggregate by the Greek outfit. They come into this match off the back of a 1-1 draw against Minai in the Ukrainian Premier League, which saw them drop to eighth place in the league standings with four points after their first two matches of the season. Over their five matches in all competitions this season, the hosts have only managed one win so far, which came over Polissya on the opening weekend of the Premier League. Dnipro-1 played in the Conference League last season and finished second in their group but were unable to get past the first knockout round, losing 1-0 to AEK Larnaca. They’ve been far from their best this season, and the bookers make them out to be 4/1 outsiders to get a victory in this one.
