Serbian side TSC Baka Topola will start this season’s Champions League journey with an away game at Sporting Braga. In this third qualifying round match, the hosts mark the start of their season after a good run in preseason. Braga wrapped up preseason with a 2-0 win over Nice, their fifth win in six preseason matches. The Portuguese side was undefeated in preseason and hopes to carry that run into the season. They showed good qualities both defensively and in attack, keeping four clean sheets and scoring in all six games. In four of the six matches, Braga even netted more than a goal. Here, they come having won each of their last four home matches. All were in preseason but Braga have also done well at home in competitive action. They are unbeaten in nine competitive matches at home, winning seven.

TSC had a poor ending in preseason but have caught up well in their two matches in the regular season. After three straight defeats to end preseason, they have four points from two league matches. After scoring six times in their opening two matches of the season, TSC will be confident coming here. Each of their last five matches has produced over 2.5 goals and they only failed to score once. They will want to test the Braga defence, which has lately been very solid. However, playing at this level for the first time may come with challenges when facing a side as good as Braga. TSC have managed just one clean sheet in their last six matches.
