Saudi Arabia vs Egypt Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Charlotte Riboullot | in World Cup Predictions
Saudi Arabia had a rude welcome to the competition, falling 0 – 5 to Russia before falling 0 – 1 to Uruguay, while Egypt picked a 1 – 3 loss and 0 – 1 respectively, confirming their early exit from the competition after only returning to the tournament in 2018 following a three – decade absence. This was only the second World Cup campaign for Egypt and they will be hoping that after playing five winless matches at the global stage, they can at least wrap it up with a win finally. As For Saudi Arabia, they take home another sad World Cup story but not as sad as in 2002, when they were beaten 8 – 0 by Germany. The Saudi’s who have taken in the biggest defeat in the current campaign, have taken part in 15 World Cup matches so far and won just two. They are winless in their last 12 World Cup matches. Saudi Arabia’s poor run of form has seen them lose each of their last five matches, scoring just two goals and conceding 13. They have two wins in their last 10 matches and have scored in six of the last 10 matches, losing seven of the 10 and keeping just two clean sheets. Egypt are also winless in their last five matches but at least they have two draws in the process. In the five, they have scored just two and conceded eight. The North African nation has won twice in the last 10 matches and lost eight of their last 14 matches. They haven’t scored in three of the last five matches. The two nations have met just once competitively, in the Confederations Cup in 1999, and Saudi Arabia whacked Egypt 5 – 1 before going on to pick slim losses against Egypt in the subsequent two meetings in 2005 and 2007.

Our Saudi Arabia vs Egypt Prediction
Heading to this game, there is a feeling that Saudi Arabia have improved massively since their 5 – 0 thrashing on the opening day, while Egypt have deteriorated. Egypt’s rapid decline in the game against Russia is testament to their frailty and their inexperience at the world stage showed clearly. Saudi Arabia, who have been here for much longer will be out to exploit this on Egypt, whose dependence on Mohamed Salah hasn’t borne much fruit. A win for Saudi Arabia seems likely.
