Napoli will look to take a step closer to securing the Serie A title when they travel to the MAPEI Stadium – Citta del Tricolore on Friday night to take on Sassuolo. The visitors are currently sitting pretty atop the league table with 59 points in 22 matches, a full 15 points ahead of their closest challengers, Inter Milan. Napoli saw off bottom-club Cremonese 3-0 in their last match, which was their sixth consecutive win in league competition. Their away record has also been excellent this season, recording nine wins, one draw, and just one loss in eleven matches on the road this term, and they come into this match on a three-match away win streak. Napoli cruised to a 4-0 victory in the reverse fixture and will be expecting to put on another strong showing in this one.

Sassuolo comes into this match having improved significantly over the last few weeks, which has seen them open up some daylight between themselves and the drop zone. They are currently in 15th place in Serie A, with 24 points in 22 matches, seven clear of Verona in 18th and level with Fiorentina and Lecce, who currently sit in 14th and 13th, respectively. Sassuolo managed to grind out a credible 2-2 draw against Udinese in their last match, which was their fourth consecutive match without defeat, including two wins and two draws. However, they have not beaten Napoli since November 2020 and will find it very difficult to take anything away from this match.
