Brazilian giants Sao Paulo face the task of overturning the first leg deficit against Ecuadorian side LDU Quito in the Copa Sudamericana. This second leg fixture of the quarter-finals will be played at the Morumbi on Friday with the first leg having been won by Quito 2-1. The winner of this tie will proceed to the semis where they will face the winner of Botafogo vs Defensa y Justicia quarter-final. Sao Paulo conceded twice within the first 25 minutes in the first leg and only a late 80th minute goal from Lucas Moura kept them in the contest. They followed it up with another 2-1 reverse, this time in the Brazilian Serie A. All depends on changing the fortunes in the home leg and Sao Paulo will pin their hopes on historical records. They have won 11 of their last 12 home Copa Sudamericana matches and extending that will be crucial to their hopes of staying alive in the competition.
