Santos are back to winning ways, and will be looking to extend the same in their home match against Bragantino in the Brazilian Serie A. Santos, going into this game are eighth with 17 points, a place above Bragantino, who also have 17 points but an inferior goal difference. Santos came from behind to beat 10-man Juventude in their last game, ending a run of six winless matches. Before that win, they had three straight draws, and will seemingly still need to work on solidifying defensively. Santos have no clean sheet in their last five matches and both sides have scored in the last four. They however have the better head to head run here, being undefeated in their last seven matches against Bragantino.

Only goal difference separates these two sides; Bragantino have however picked up well in their recent matches and will hope to build on it here. They are unbeaten in the last three matches, winning two, the most recent a 4-2 victory at home to Coritiba. That was only their second win in 12 matches, and the first time they scored. More than a goal in their last 15 matches. Bragantino have struggled a bit this season, and one clean sheet in 12 matches isn’t a run of form they will look at for encouragement. A four-game winless run away from home is another pointer to how so far it has been a low season for Bragantino, but two straight draws in that run offers some hope.
