Sampdoria have failed to win either of their last two league games. It could have been a different story though as they led 2-1 at Milan last weekend before losing 3-2. Before that they had been held to a goalless draw at home by Sassuolo so need to get back in winning ways. Before those two games without a victory, Sampdoria had beaten both SPAL and Atalanta by a single goal margin. Home form for Sampdoria has seen them win two, draw two and lose to Inter but only nine goals have been scored in those five games with Sampdoria conceding just three times. Five of their last seven league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them with a total of 21 goals scored in ten league matches but they start this match in seventh place in Serie A only three points off the Champions League places.

Torino are tenth in the table but only a point behind their opponents. They made a slow start to the season with their first five games only producing one win and five points. They have improved since and are on a five-game unbeaten league run, though three of those matches have ended in draws. Away from home, Torino are undefeated in Serie A with one win at bottom of the table Chievo and the other four all ended level. Those five away league games have seen 11 goals scored and three of the last four have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. Not surprisingly then, the tip here is for under 2.5 goals to be scored in this match.
