Salzburg vs Napoli Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

Napoli top Group E and are the only side left unbeaten. They have four points from two games, one ahead of Liverpool and third-placed Red Bull Salzburg. The Italian side got their Champions League campaign off to a great start with a 2-0 home win over defending champions Liverpool. Not so impressive was a trip to Genk where they were held to a goalless draw. The Italian side won 2-0 at home to Verona on Saturday and remain fourth in Serie A, six points behind leaders Juventus. They are unbeaten in their last four games and have kept clean sheets in each of the last three. Away wins aren't a regular occurrance for them though. They have one win, two draws and a defeat in their last four matches on the road. In the Champions League, Napoli have gone seven without a win dating back to 2017. However, three of the last four have been drawn with the only loss away to Liverpool last season.

Red Bull Salzburg are third in the group but only a point behind Napoli. A home win here would throw the group into turmoil, especially if Liverpool failed to win in Belgium. Red Bull had a thumping 6-2 home win over Genk in their opening game. Then they travelled to Anfield, went 3-0 down but somehow pulled it back to 3-3. They ended up losing 4-3 but showed that they can score goals against the very best. They are top of the Austrian Bundesliga by three points but were held to a 1-1 draw away at fifth placed Sturm Graz at the weekend. Not since November 2016 have they lost a home competitive match and in home Bundesliga games have won seven in a row scoring 38 goals. Over the past couple of years, Salzburg have won three and drawn two at home in the Champions League with 15 goals scored but five conceded. This will be tougher for them and the tip is a double chance bet on Napoli to win or draw.
