St Etienne could have climbed to third in Ligue 1 on Sunday but lost 2-1 at Rennes. Instead, they are ninth in the table and that's three places and two points above their opponents Nice. They led in Sunday's match but ended up losing thanks to a 94th minute winner. That makes it two league games without a win and they could only draw against Gent in the Europa League last Thursday. St Etienne come into this game having only won two out of seven home league games. It's not an easy place to go and get a win though as only Metz have beaten them in the league this season. Four of their seven home league games have ended in a draw. There haven't been that many goals being scored though with 13 in those seven matches and five out of seven have had under 2.5 goals scored in them.
Nice had a good home win at the weekend beating Angers 3-1. That was their fourth home league win of the season but they aren't so good on their travels. Nice have won two out of seven and the other five have all been lost. They actually won their first two of the season but the last five have all seen them return home after a defeat. Two of their last three away losses have been in games that have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. This looks like being another tight game and the suggested bet is one on under 2.5 goals to be scored.
