After snatching a 1-1 draw in the dying seconds against England saved face, Russia confirmed they are an avergae side with a 2-1 lose in Lille to Slovakia with Hamsik engineering the win. Without Dzagoev, Denisov and Zhirkov, all injured, the Russians are struggling to find a leader. They still rely on Shatov, Kokorin and Dzyuba, three players from Zenit, to force their destiny. The situation is different for Wales and Gareth Bale, who have three points after their win over Slovakia (2-1) in the opening Group B match and lost to England (2-1) in the final minutes. The Dragons could probably settle for a draw to climb to second or third to sit among the best. But facing the Russians who have nothing to lose, Wales will certainly play smarter.
