Royal Antwerp vs Porto Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

Royal Antwerp will be out in search of their maiden Champions League victory when they host Porto on Wednesday. The two teams are fighting it out in Group H of this season’s competition where Porto are second and Antwerp bottom. Royal Antwerp are playing in the Champions League for the first time in their history and things haven’t been ideal. The Belgian champions have lost both of their fixtures in Group H and have done so by conceding a massive eight goals. Antwerp began things off with a 5-0 thrashing away to Barcelona which was then followed up by a 3-2 defeat against Shakhtar. In between this disappointing run, Mark van Bommel’s men have also struggled domestically. The Reds have won only one of their last seven matches and suffered yet another defeat over the weekend. Antwerp were on Saturday defeated 3-2 away to Sporting Charleroi.

Porto are coming off the back of a 2-0 victory in the Cup in Portugal. Sergio Conceicao’s men began their Taca de Portugal campaign by winning away to Vilar de Perdizes. Their second win in a row was also their fifth victory in six away matches this season across all competitions. Porto began their Group H duties by winning 3-1 away to Shakhtar on matchday one. They would however succumb to a solitary goal at home to Barcelona in their next group fixture. The Dragons have ended up victorious in three of their last four away matches in the Champions League. One of those victories was a 4-0 thumping of Antwerp’s domestic rivals Club Brugge.
