Rotherham - Sheffield United: Form Analysis
Sheffield United have been in rip-roaring form effectively dating back to November. The Blades are on a 10 match unbeaten run across all competitions, eight of which resulted in victories, which can be extended to a record of 11 wins, two draws and only one defeat over their last 14 fixtures. Their last outing was a thrilling 3-3 away draw against Wrexham in the FA Cup, scoring the dramatic equalizer deep into stoppage time despite playing with 10 men after a red card halfway through the second half. Sheffield will now attempt to win their third consecutive match in the Championship and ninth from their last 10.
Rotherham have been very much on the opposite end of the spectrum and could be in for a relegation scrap as we approach the business end of the Championship campaign. They earned a deserved point in a 1-1 away draw against Watford last Tuesday, a result which followed up the Millers’ convincing 4-0 home win over Blackburn. It’s now two matches without defeat for Rotherham as they look to build on the recent positive momentum which ended a previous seven match winless run. They’ll be put to the test here by one of England’s hottest teams in Sheffield but Rotherham have fared rather well when playing at New York Stadium, losing only four of 13 outings.

Rotherham & Sheffield United Squad Analysis
Rotherham have had extensive time to prepare for this match after their scheduled clash with Sunderland was postponed, meaning the last time Matt Taylor’s team took to the field was on January 1st. The Millers were able to reinforce their squad with seven additions to the team. Unfortunately Rotherham lost influential midfielder Dan Barlaser, who was integral to their promotion winning campaign from League One last season, to Middlesbrough.
Sheffield United will have a full week’s rest ahead of this fixture after their FA Cup draw with Wrexham. Striker Daniel Jebbison received a straight red card for violent conduct in the match against Wrexham and will be unavailable for this one. Manager Paul Heckingbottom tried to get star-man Iliman Ndiaye some rest in the previous fixture but was brought off the bench in the 58th minute. Expect Ndiaye to return to the starting lineup here.
