It's going to be a tough weekend for 21st placed Rotherham United. They host Championship leaders Preston North End who lead the table by a point from Leicester and Ipswich. Rotherham need to bounce back from a 3-0 away loss at Millwall on Wednesday evening. That was their second defeat of the week after losing 2-0 at Huddersfield last Saturday. Those two defeats have left them one place and a point above the bottom three. Five of their seven league matches have been lost this season. Their only win was at home when suprisingly beating Norwich City 2-1 on September 2nd. They also led Blackburn Rovers 2-0 in their opening home league fixture but had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Rotherham have already conceded 16 league goals this season, the worst defensive record in the Championship.

It seems one way of making money this season has been to bet on Preston winning 2-1 at home. That's happened in all four of their league games, most recently when beating Birmingham City on Tuesday. On the road, they haven't recorded that scoreline but have still been playing well. Three away league fixtures have produced seven points with the last two being won at Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City. Preston drew their other away match 1-1 at Bristol City and that is the only league game this season in which they have dropped points.
