Roma are soon to face Porto in the last sixteen of the Champions League and are battling hard to qualify for next season's tournament. After a run of poor form in November, Roma have boosted their qualification hopes with a run of three straight wins. Their last league loss was three days before Christmas when losing 1-0 at Serie A league leaders Juventus. Overall they have three wins from their last four league games and eight goals scored. Home form has seen Roma win five, draw three and suffer one defeat by SPAL right at the start of their bad patch in October/November.

Torino are ninth in the table and three points behind Roma. They'd be a lot closer but for the fact they have drawn nine out of nineteen league games. They come into this game still to lose an away Serie A match this season with two wins and eight draws with the last four all finishing level.  They have already drawn at the sides third, fourth and fifth in the table so aren't scared of going to top teams. Only Juventus have beaten them in their last seven league games and seven of their last nine away games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. Of the last six games in all competitions, only one has been won. Their away unbeaten run has to end somewhere and with Roma in the top form, this looks like being the day, go for a home win.
