Roma vs Real Madrid Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League
by | in Champions League Predictions
AS Roma are probably really lucky to have got this far in the Champions League. They only won one of their six games in Group E and conceded 16 goals in six games. That's the same as Maccabi Tel Aviv who lost all their matches and only Malmo let in more. 13 of those goals were conceded in their three away games so I don't hold out too much hope for the Italians once they get to Spain for the second leg. At home they did manage to draw 1-1 with Barcelona so it's not a forlorn hope that they might be able to salvage something from this first leg. Their only win in the was a 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen. They are in decent form in Serie A with four straight league wins but beating Real Madrid is a little bit stiffer than defeating Carpi and Sampdoria. Real Madrid are still in title contention in Spain but only third behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. They are in good form though with no defeats in their last nine games and a mighty 38 goals scored in those matches. So far in the Champions League this season they are undefeated on their travels with two wins and a draw against PSG. With Roma's defence not being the greatest I go for a Real Madrid win here.
