In the 30th round of matches in the Italian Serie A, Rome rivals AS Roma and SS Lazio will be facing off. Roma will play hosts in this clash, currently placed seventh with 48 points but seeking to rise to fifth. Lazio are fifth on 49 points. The race for places in Europe next season is on and these two have just eight matches to show they can get there. Roma have a Europa Conference League game before going into this fixture and this may be a disadvantage to them, given Lazio have no midweek activity. Roma are unbeaten in their last eight league matches though with just four wins and have failed to score more than a goal in the last three. Both sides have scored in three of their last five league games and at home they have three clean sheets in four league games.

Lazio have dominated Roma in recent matches; in the last meeting they won 3-2, their third win in six meetings with Roma. They have no midweek engagements and will benefit from extra rest as they prepare for this Sunday game. Lazio ended a four-match winless run with back to back wins over strugglingCagliari and Venezia. This will be a tougher game than those two but the wins will surely give them the impetus they need here. The best performances from Lazio in recent Serie A matches have come away from home; they are unbeaten in the last four matches, with three wins. In those three matches,  Lazio have managed three goals in each and also clean sheets. Four of their last five away league matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
