Roma vs Juventus Prediction & Betting Tips - Serie A
by Steve Ashfield | in Serie A Predictions
Juventus got the defence of their Serie A league title off to a winning start with a home win over Sampdoria. They play their first away fixture of the season when traveling to AS Roma, who had a controversial opening fixture at Verona. Juventus just keep on winning the Serie A title and are bidding to win their tenth successive title. Their top signing so far in this transfer window has been the arrival of Arthur from Barcelona for £64m. Higuain, Pjanic and Can have left but Juventus still have a squad that may well win them the league again. Last weekend saw them get off to that winning start against Sampdoria, though two of the three goals came in the last 12 minutes with Cristiano Ronaldo getting the final one. Away form wasn't great in the final games of last season with three losses out of four (their form dipped once the title was clinched). Before that though, Juventus had won five of the last seven. They'll hope for a quickfire start like when they met Roma away in the league last season. Juventus went 2-0 up in ten minutes, eventually winning 2-1.
Roma finished fifth in Serie A last season, missing out on the final Champions League spot by eight points. They ended the season with three wins and a draw at home, though only one of those was against a side in the top ten (Fiorentina who finished tenth). Mancini and Veretout have joined in the transfer window and they have also signed Pedro from Chelsea and Mkhitaryan from Arsenal. Their new season began with a trip to Verona and it's a game that certainly made the headlines. Roma drew the game 0-0 but a registration problem with Amadou Diawara saw the game awarded 3-0 to Verona. Now after all that hassle, with an appeal on the way, Roma have to host the defending champions Juventus. A bet on an away win looks the one to make.

Our Roma vs Juventus Prediction
Juventus look to make it two wins out of two before the international break. They made a confident start to the new season with that 3-0 victory over Sampdoria. Their away form last season was strong for most of the season with ten victories, including a win at Roma. Another win is likely here with the home side having made a fair few changes to their squad during this transfer window. The controversy and loss of the point earned at Verona won't have helped them either. Go for an away win here.
