The past few weeks have not been so great for AS Roma; they have managed just two wins in their last nine matches and as they host Belgian side Gent in the Europa League, they will hope to start a better run. Gent, on the other hand, are enjoying a good run heading to this clash. The Belgians have no loss in their last seven matches, winning five of those. They will be looking to impose this run on Roma, who in the last 12 matches, have managed just one clean sheet. Roma have conceded two or more goals in four of their last five matches though they have scored in each of their last eight matches. They have no win in the last four home matches, having lost three and drawn one. They have no clean sheet in the last five home matches but Roma have failed to score in just one of their last 11 home matches. With just two wins at the group stage, Roma managed to work their way through to the knockouts, finishing second behind Istanbul Basaksehir but what caught the eye was their attack; they scored an average 2.0 goals in the run but they kept just one clean sheet at home, as they drew two and won one. Roma are unbeaten in their last four home matches in Europa League but have just one clean sheet

On the other hand, Gent have four wins in their last five matches and have scored three or more goals in the four wins. The toughest of their last five matches came against Anderlecht and they drew 1-1. This will be another top clash for them as they seek an away advantage. They have the form to back them, and especially in the Europa League, having ended the group stages as one of the two unbeaten teams. They managed three wins and three draws, to finish top of their group. They have three straight away wins, all in the Belgian league and while they are unbeaten in five away matches in the Europa League, they have managed just one win. They have scored in eight of their last 10 away matches in the competition; only once have they managed to score more than one goal.
