Barcelona have a more than healthy 4-1 lead from the first leg and should have few problems reaching the last four. They were in their usual top form in the first leg and were helped greatly by the Italian side scoring two own goals. They haven't lost in the Champions League this season and are on a ten-game unbeaten run in the competition. Away form this season has seen Barcelona win just one of their four Champions League games with the last three being drawn. Rather unlike Barcelona of old, those four games have only produced two goals but this season they are much better defensively with no repeats of the heavy losses suffered last season at PSG and Juventus.
Roma have it all to do and Saturday saw them lose 2-0 at home to Fiorentina in Serie A so hardly a confidence booster for them.and once this tie is over, they have a fight on their hands to qualify for next season's Champions League. They have gone three games without a win and have only won three out of their last nine home games in all competitions so they don't look like a side that are going to mount a fantastic comeback. The tie could have been so much different but for those two own goals and now Roma have to go out and score at least three goals in 90 minutes and can't afford to let Barcelona score a goal. Only twice in their last ten home Champions League games have they scored three goals but back in 2002 they did get a 3-0 home win over Barcelona, they need to recapture that form this week. The bet here is on an away win as Barcelona exploit the gaps that will be created as Roma chase goals.
